OSUOSL Drupal Training

Drupal Logo

The OSUOSL provides Drupal training to OSU faculty and staff. Our Drupal Training is separated into two parts: author training and administrator/gatekeeper training. While the training sessions are limited to OSU faculty and staff, we do make available all of our training materials for anyone who may be interested. See below for more information on each of the training sessions. Our training materials are all generated with the OSU Drupal install in mind, so if you are not using a Drupal site provided by OSU Central Web Services, there are certain parts of the training you can ignore.

OSU users that need Drupal support, please see the Central Web Services Drupal documentation and support site to get help.

Training Sessions

This provides a general overview of Drupal for those that will be submitting content to a Drupal web site. Topics covered include:

  • Basic page editing
  • Creating links
  • Uploading and linking to files
  • Adding images to a page

If you have signed up to participate in the author training session, please complete as much of the training as possible before coming to the session. We will go over the exercises during the session, but will mostly focus on answering questions or problems that people came up with while attempting to complete the exercises.

Administrator Training

This training provides information for Administrators and Gatekeepers who will be approving changes submitted by authors as well as performing other site administration tasks such as menu and block creation.
